About Us
Licensed Professional Counselors Dr. John and Janet Raymond, LPC, offer Christian counseling for individuals, couples, and families-in person in the Front Royal / Winchester, Virginia area and by telehealth (including North Carolina with John).
We help people who are seeking understanding, direction, healing, and peace. Some come because of suffering. Others want to strengthen a marriage, navigate a life transition, or rediscover purpose and hope. In every case, we work to run pain towards growth through skilled counseling and the love and power of the Holy Spirit.
Research shows that a large part of progress in counseling comes from the quality of the relationship between client and counselor. Training and experience are also essential.John and Janet bring decades of combined clinical experience and training in a range of therapeutic approaches. They integrate these methods with a Christian worldview of redemption—the biblical story of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration. In practice, that means we take seriously:
- how life and relationships were meant to work
- how brokenness, pain, and falling short distort what God designed
- how real change and healing become possible
- how people can move toward hope, freedom, and restoration
Faith is integrated with professional care. It is foundation to our worldview and as a resource for those who want it. John and Janet may work separately or together, depending on what best serves you.
